  1. Below is Craig’s recent Medium post which includes his reasoning for not proving quickly/cryptographically that he is who he says he is.

Note that he claims the only thing he will need in court to prove he’s Satoshi is paperwork showing that he purchased the Bitcoin.org domain with his own personal credit card. It’s comical to think that Satoshi would take the steps he has to remain anonymous, bit use a personal credit card to register Bitcoin’s website.

  2. HE’S SATOSHI, HE’S SATOSHI, YOU’RE SATOSHI?! I’M SATOSHI! Are there any other Satoshis I should know about????

  3. This is a case for some Bayes reasoning:

How many people in the world are the real Satoshi? One, or maybe a small group.

Of those, what are the chances that one of them would be behaving like this? Slim

How many people are narcissists? A lot.

Of those how many want attention and attack anyone who questions them? Most of them.

So people who are not Satoshi greatly outnumber real Satoshis in the pool of narcissistic attention seekers.

Conclusion: A given narcissistic attention seeker is overwhelmingly unlikely to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

  4. Can people stop pushing on open doors by making useless thread after useless thread about how a known and thoroughly exposed fraudster is indeed a total fraud?

That guy is in it for attention and creating all those threads about him is just giving him what he wants.

    It’s not even interesting.

  5. Satoshi if you are still alive, please sign with the URL of this post, one of the first 100 blocks of Bitcoin.

    You will still remain anonymous.

  6. He thinks he can convince the newer crowds and win them over.

If the 99% of the world that doesn’t yet use Bitcoin decides to believe him, he could get away with it.

That’s why he’s threatening to sue people who call him out on it.

  7. And then after 10 years and 2 forks where you end up with the short end of the stick, you start threatening and suing people if they don’t believe you :emoticonScratchingHisChin:

  8. Because Bitcoin has grown to a point at which it is safe for it to grow even further. Bitcoin is now a legitimate means op transaction.

Disruptive technologies have enemies, until the technology is accepted wide enough. So it is best to stay hidden until that time.

But if he is really Satoshi, he should easily be able to prove it.. I don’t believe he is. And sueing people is just ridiculous. Satoshi’s behavior is a lot more mature than his. Another reason to believe he is not Satoshi.

  9. I believe that this is exactly what Ignotus of Grin intends to do.

I intend to claim that I am Igno exactly 10 years from the point of his departure.

    #I am igno

    Fuck off.

  10. Can we start a #IAmSatoshi movement to jointly celebrate the gift of bitcoin to the world and honor the legacy of the man with the idea by committing to carry on the spirit of what he created?

That would disempower anyone claiming to be Satoshi while serving to help ensure the legacy lives on as more than a legend.

  11. But, like, Craig Wright is a dumb person. Like, a genuinely ugly soul and bad, dumb human. Why is this even a conversation.

The guy can barely string a sentence together that makes anything close to a comprehensive thought. Plus he’s simply a loathsome person.

  12. He clearly is not. Because if he were it is very easy to prove it. Create a new wallet. Then transfer all the money from Satoshi’s wallet to his new one. End of argument.

  13. Must have undergone a lot of trauma and various life experiences during the past 10 years. From someone cool and a gentleman, as seen in the Bitcointalk posts, to a jerk. We’ll have to live with this sad fact – Satoshi Nakamoto is also a Jekyll and Hyde character.

  14. Seriously, who gives one flying fuck about craig wright? Focus on bitcoin, not faketoshi who has no fucking proof. Remember that he is the one who caused your btc price to drop from ATH. Since he has been in the crypto space, he has caused nothing but drama and uncertainty. Best way to do away with him is just to IGNORE.

  15. Pretty simple: Because when you cash out you need to go through KYC.

Also, if you had followed his story (which I doubt you did) you would also understand the other reasons.
